Welcome

An estimated one million people in Scotland live with a neurological condition that has a significant impact on their lives.

We are a forum of organisations and groups representing them.

Alliance news

Patient Survey

The Alliance is currently undertaking a national survey with people who have a neurological condition in Scotland. The survey will gather data regarding people’s experience of their most recent encounter with their local NHS Health Service for their neurological condition. The information gathered will be used to identify areas that are currently working well and also where improvements could be made. Please download the cover letter and survey for more information. Completed surveys can be returned to the Alliance free of charge.

E-Bulletin

The latest edition of the Alliance E-Bulletin is now available and brings updates to the work of the Alliance.

In future editions we would like to share information on issues of concern and campaign activity of our member organisations. This will identify common areas of concern across the membership and facilitate sharing of information.

If your organisation would like to share information on areas of concern with other Alliance members please contact us.

Self Management in Neurological Conditions

The Long Term Conditions Alliance Scotland are producing a series of Special Reports on the Self Management Fund. These reports focus on the themes of the evaluation, and highlight some of the great projects around the country. The third of these reports looks at the ‘Neurological Conditions’ and has been produced in partnership with the Neurological Alliance of Scotland.

The report includes some inspiring Case Studies and can be downloaded here

Alliance Manifesto

The Alliance has been working with its member organisations to develop our Manifesto for the forthcoming Scottish Parliament elections. The manifesto sets out a series of key requests which the Neurological Alliance of Scotland wants the Scottish Government to address in order to improve the lives of those affected by neurological conditions in Scotland. We are sending our manifesto to candidates for all political parties and asking for their support in ensuring that the lives of those affected by neurological conditions in Scotland are improved where possible.

To download a copy of our manifesto please click here or email info@scottishneurological.org.uk if you wish to request a hard copy.
